Dreda

Dreda f
English: short form of ETHELDREDA (SEE Etheldreda), quite commonly used as an independent given name in the 19th century, when the longer form was also in fashion. It has survived slightly better than the more cumbersome quadrisyllabic form, but is nevertheless now rare.
